Additional Information
Personality: Krai is a fun-loving sort, in his younger days he'd pull pranks and actually enjoy being among the people. Now, though, he's learned to restrain himself and find joy in simpler things. He's learned to forgo comfort and luxury, except in his clothes-they're an absolute must.
When people get onto him about his clothes, he feels a great anger inside of him. He's dealt with this anger several times, and one time it surfaced and showed-but that was the first and only time. He's determined not to let it happen again.
In accordance to his Guardian training, he's a little blunt. He heard someone say once, "I'd rather you not beat around the bush, but instead give it a good, solid thwack." But, however, he's clever with his tongue when a good joke is in order, or a wry comment.
Years of the jedi Order have left him patient, wise and undesrtanding, knowledgable in almsot all things pertainign to combat and the aftermath of it.
History: In bouts of joyful joking, Krai calls himself a "Force-born child" with a smile. He doesn't mean it, but the circumstances leading up to his discovery were certainly ordained by the Force. The Jedi who found him was traveling to Tholatin from Nar Shadda. He entered a small digit wrong and it shifted him along a previously undiscovered Hyperspace route-a shift in nebulae had rendered Ruusan almost unreachable by Hyperspace. He landed there, confused, and the Ruusanians, isolated for so long, greeted him. He explained who he was and he saw one of the babies-Krai. He took him home, then, to Ossus.
He was accepted after the council talked it over, and set to a class of Children. He grew fast-reaching five foot nine at fourteen, which he would keep for the rest of his life. His voice evened out, too, settling into a deep baritone rumble and he started shaving at a normal human time. The only thing is, his mind developed slower-he was only able to attain the peace of other padawans at twenty years old, although he tried so hard to do so. He gave his best and was able to wrestle his emotions into submission, although it didn't come easy.
When he was ten, he was chosen by a Jedi master. A Jar-Kai-using Guardian, he recognized Krai's natural aptitude for weapons, shown in his classes when he could pick up his lightsaber and swing it like a natural. He's been corrected in his Lightsaber usage many times, but when he was correct without help, his skill and determination exceeded the others of his former classes. At thirteen he constructed his current lightsaber.
Trained as Jedi Guardian, he was taken on many missions by his master to get a feel for the real world. Often he was let to take care of the physical aspects of the mission-tracking, combat, and once he was allowed to race someone on Adumar, when he was sixteen. Adumarian culture revolved around triumph, and he gained status by defeating his opponent.
On the same planet when he was Twenty, four years later, he accidentally destroyed a building in a chase by deflecting a blaster shot in the wrong direction. He was challenged to a Blastersword Duel by the owner of the building-it'd toppled after the shot had destroyed a support. Nervous, Krai almsot refused, but fought nonetheless. He used his skills with different weapons to defeat his opponent, combining lightsaber forms and his learnt Vibrosword maneuvers to both confuse and defeat the challenger. He stopped on the final blow and stepped back-when the enemy's neck was bare and the blaster sword could of easily killed the human.
For showing restraint and humility when he was praised for his mercy, he was put through the Trails. His Trial of Flesh and Spirit was passed on a mission to Ruusan a year before. The world was almost in war, and several Ruusan had become bandit groups, raiding homes for profit. As his master and he were passing, a family sent a distress signal. They decided to investigate, turning their ships to the planet. They arrived in time to help a family defend themselves against Ruusanian bandits-twenty strong.
The bandits were defeated, just simple men forced from their homes and had no choice but to become bandits to survive. Peace was attained as usual, and the family invited the Master and Padawan into their home.
During a talk over dinner, it was found that their surname was H'voc and had a child taken by the Jedi several months after birth nineteen years ago. Krai was overcome with emotion-the nineteen year old padawan told them his name, and embraced his mother and father and brothers and sisters.
His Master cautioned him-D"on't become attached, Krai. Release your feelings, for they will only bring you heartache."
They almost did. He ignored his master and continued to delve deeper into his family, learning several customs and growing to love his relatives. He experienced a joy and peace that wasn't found yet, and he had the best time of his life, helping and loving his family as never before.
Then, the bandits came back after the five days Krai and his Master had been there. They came back with a bigger force, slaughtering his family while he was inside. The Force spoke to him, and overcome with rage, he almost stepped outside to slaughter the lot of them in a Dark Side rampage-but stopped himself at the account of his master. Before the bandits could get inside, he looked inside himself and found that he was a beast waiting to be released-he had great temptation to use the Dark Side. His new feelings of hate and vengeance he let go, and he fought the Bandits only in Self-defense as he and his Master boarded their Starships and flew back to Ossus.
He mastered the Saber Throw technique and he succeeded in a duel with his Master and two others. Successfully passing his trials at twenty one years old, he was accepted as a full Jedi Knight and became a Solo worker. Three years into his Knighthood Career, he was given a Padawan. This Padawan was killed three years after, at the young age of thirteen.
Krai kept doing missions and life went on. Once, he almost had his arm sliced off by an unactivated Vibrosword. If it had been activated, he'd of lost his arm-he gianed back full mobility with another Jedi's healing, but still carries an ugly scar.
He attained his own starship-a battered, old X-83 in a Junkyard that didn't work. He learned from three engineers how to fix it himself, devoting his time and passions to it, forgoing everything but his training to fix it. After three months, the X-83 was as good as new, painted with a new, black coat, and it was officially H'voc's ship, named Krai's Passion after the time and effort he'd spent on it.
He became a better pilot to learn to fly it well, and gained excellent piloting skills with training and skills. He began studying tactics and warfare, reading about older generals and their ways of battle. He studied many different races, how their physiology affected battle, their anatomy, their strengths, weaknesses. He studied languages and mastered several with the help of the Force, and by the time he was thirty seven, he was a great, knowledgeable Jedi Knight, fully mastered three Forms of Lightsaber combat.
His Force Potential was above average, but not exceptional. He used the force in every way he could, inventing ways to use basic moves in new ways. He once used Force Push in midair to adjust his trajectory, pushing against the wall near him. The force reversed against the solid wall and thumped him instead, saving his life by rocketing out of the way of a speeding Rocket.
He studied healing under the official healers for a short time, delving further into his Anatomy practices. He learned the correct way to heal and the anatomy of several of the more numerous races in the Galaxy, sealing his knowledge and increasing his success in Heal usage-even though he has a long time before he masters it.
He discovered the Technique Crucitorn in a very old Holocron found on Yavin 4, And mastered it by putting himself through pain in an attempt to master it. Through his training in this, he gained the ability to withstand pain far beyond his own threshold by use of the Force.
His clothes are a matter of great debate. He's seen himself in a Mirror with the traditional robes, and he has to wince. He looks so...wrong in them. Like he couldn't function right. He discarded them and made his own clothes, learning from a Tailor in the Temple. He came out with his current clothes, and is satisfied with them, providing comfort and flexibility.
He became a master after showing exceptional courage in the Battle of Dolomar, a minor skirmish. They were forced to retreat and he infiltrated the base, took out the enemies, and took the base single-handedly with the help of the Force.
He's never been a big fan of the Sith/Jedi union, but he accepted it. soon, though, he felt like the Force was calling him to do something, anything. He first got the idea ten years ago, and it's been gnawing at him since.
Now, though, he's recently decided to head a small group of Jedi, seeking totally to break off from the Sith an take the entire Jedi force from them. no, not destroy the Sith-only become enemies once more.
He's still seeking members.
