Repairs and Friends(Rock and Ophelia please join)

[Kiala]

Kiala stands under her ship, the Sparrow . It was a state of the art ship. It is by far the most advanced ship she had even seen. It had belonged to an older mandalorian named , Marrick Fet An grizzled old man who despite his age, had not lost any of his edge. When he had died on a mission, and had left everything he had to his son..Kiala's lover.

She had one of the panels underneath. Her primary hyper drive was down and she had to fix it. Fortunately she is a skilled mechanic. And this was a minor problem and would only take her a few day's to fix it...providing she could get the part's. She sighed and wiped her brow with her glove covered mechanical hand..

Kiala was quite beautiful. Strikingly so. She was constantly approached by men wanting to have a 'good time', usually a cold glare was enough to dissuade most suiter's..ever now and then she had to resort to violence. Her right arm was fully cybernetic and she could hit quite hard when she wished to.

Only one man had stolen her heart, Sanual Fett, Marricks son...whom had died on Mostifar. Sith...bloody damn sith..how she hated the attack dogs of the republic.

She laid a hand on her belly..she new something, and smiled slightly. He had left her his ship, because he had went with a close friend. Sanual had died, that much she new, because his friend had brought his back.

Kiala curses as a jolt of electricity shot through her real arm--"by Mandalore's shinning ass!!"--she through her wrench to the side. Muttering she walked over to it and picked it up, and stalked back to her ship. She set the tool down and went to a near by chair and flopped down in it and took up a glass of some sort of juice and took a long, and healthy drink.

"I'm done for today..not getting shocked again damnit!"--that had been the third time. Durnit...she was never this clumbsy...somthing was different...and she new exactly what the problem was..though she didn't think of it so much as a problem as another challenge.

She sat back, and awaited company

Opheila hadn't exactly known why she was called here, but no one could ever say that she was neglectful of her sister. There was something wrong with Kia, Ophelia could tell. They had always been close, and something else told her that Kia was scared, nervous, and absolutely furious at something or other. It was that 'something else' that they never talked about, but everyone knew was there. Ophelia was dressed in a pair of tight fitting pants and a tank top, leaving her golden brown arms exposed and a light sheen of sweat.

"Kia?" She murmured softly into the darkness of the hanger. She walked in, her boots making clopping sounds against the floor and echoing oddly in the darkness. Ophelia still had that odd, particular languidness that she had before, like a cat that had gotten into the cream.

"Are you in here, sis?"

Kiala dozed fitfully in her chair. Her head tossing from sideto side. She mutters in her sleep..saying only one word coherantly, Sanuel". She see's him in her dreams, grinning that stupid grin. Then a red blade sticks from the center of his chest, and he slumps to the ground. The red skinned Zeltron woman behind him cackles.

Kiala awakesn screaming, a scream filled with fear, anger, and most of all, an un-speakable loss. She sits there for a moment, breathing heavily, her chest heaving. Her brow is drenched in sweat. She gulps in air...damn these dreams.

"Kia?" there is a momentary pause, and the sound of boots clicking on the cement floor. It's her sister, Ophelia "Are you in here, sis?"

"Over hear, sis"--Kiala leans forward on her knee's , her un-bound hair falling over her face, and the sense of loss she felt in her dream comes over her again, and tears begin to run down her cheeks, and her shoulders bob up and down in silent sobbing

Oh yeah, something was definately wrong, and requiring Ophelia's deft touch and occasional sensitivity (don't laugh!) to help make it feel at least a little better. Her sister's voice sounded somewhat feeble and quiet, something that Ophelia was simply not used to hearing in the confident and sleek woman that she had known most of her life. Her hair was held in a ponytail as she found her, a concerned frown coming over her features. What had happened to Kiala? Had something, or someone hurt her? If they had, there would be hell to pay. Ophelia gritted her teeth.

Ok, yeah, she'd admit that it was hard thinking that anyone would be capable of hurting Kiala. She was strong, and she was tough, and she didn't let nobody but nobody tell her what to do. Ophelia knelt down infront of her, cupping her sister's face in her hands and tilting it towards her.

"What's wrong, little Sparrow?"

If a casual aquaintence had known that Ophelia could be soft and gentle, they'd probably die laughing. But this wasn't just anyone. Her slender fingertips reached up to wipe tears away from Kia's cheeks, suddenly glad that Rock had not come along with her right at this moment.

Kia looked up at her sister through her blood shot eye's, and her lower lips trembles. They had rarly shared a hug since they were children, but now, thats what Kia need's. She wraps her arms around her sister's neck--"I...I...I'm pregnant...Hawk..and.he...he's dead"

Little Sparrow, Kiala's nick name from ther mother, Hawk, Ophelias nickname. --"He..h-he went on a..mi..mission...and..a..a sith killed him"--she cant stop crying. She just cant. She had told Ohelia about Sanuel, a young mandalorian who had stolen her heart.

And she cant stop crying. This woman who had faced down a roncor at age fouteen, a woman who faced life with a confident air..was acting like a broken child--"wh-what am..am I going..t-to do"

[Ophelia]

Ophelia held her, and listened, and stayed quiet. She didn't know what mission that Sanuel had been on that had him cross a Sith, but in her mind she thought furiously that he had been a stupid git. A brave stupid git, but she couldn't forgive him, even though he was dead, for leaving her sister alone and frightened and cold and scared like this for very long. For a moment, she felt a twinge of guilt. It was likely that nothing short of a catastrophe would kill Rock, but in a moment she felt a rush of fear in her heart. She couldn't... Ophelia couldn't lose him. She didn't know what would happen, and she wasn't keen to find out.

"We'll survive, Sparrow, just like we always do. You're going to have this child, and raise it, and have something left of him. I'm not going to let my sister raise my niece or nephew alone."

And there it was, a confidence and a comfort that Ophelia would stand by her side. As well as the rest of her family. Clan Ordo was a very close knit Clan, and they would not be at all taken back by all of this. And Ophelia couldn't deny the darker thought, either...

She was envious. Not just envious, though, but horribly jealous of Kiala. Ophelia wasn't envious that she had lost the love of her life, but that she was carrying a life inside of her womb. Ophelia, damn her, wanted that, wanted what she knew she could never have. She had made a comitment to Rock. She loved him with everything that she could possibly come up with, but she had also given up her chance to ever have children of her own.

Rock wasn't human. She was. Interspecies coupling was not common amoung the Mandalorians, but it wasn't necessarily unheard of either. However, a child from such a coupling was only a one in a million shot. One hadn't been born in centuries.

Ophelia had learned to accept that fact, but yet it still hurt.

"If I could, Sparrow, I'd bring him back for you." Ophelia said sadly, fingers tangling in her sister's unbound hair.

Kiala finaly pull's herself together. Her sister had done what only she or they'e mother could have done. She would go on. She had no choice. She had to be strong. Sanual had been killed..but damnit..she was a Mano'ad woman. Kiala detaches hersel from her sister, and nods, and wipes the tears from her eye's, laying a hand on her slightly rounded belly, it is only now noticable with her pressing down on the fabric of her baggy jump suite.

"It's a girl...."--a bright, happy smile croses her face. She dashes the tears frim her face--"I need somthing to drink..and beofre you can comment..just tea..."--she takes a long steading breath. and rises. She pulls a sqaure device from her belt, and presses the red button, a door slide open on the side of the ship

Upon entering, they stand in a small comon area. Hung on a manikin is Kiala's hi-tech mandalorian armor, several vibro swords line the walls, along with her sniper riffle--"It was Marricsk ship..the one who bought this for me"--taps her cybornetic arm...."and , Sanuals father..."--she takes a deep breath, and fights back a fresh wave of tear's. As she heads for the tea pot, and stubles as a wave of nasuea asults her, and bumps into a chair--"Mandalore's shining ass!...oh god"--runs to the lavatory, were she becomes violently sick.

After finishing loosing what ever she had eaten for lunch, she quickly renses her mouth out, and brushes her teeth. As she leaves she smiles somewhat at her sister--"I dont know why they call it, morning sickness, I get ill throughout the entire day"--She goes about fixing the tea, and snacking on crackers.(The equivlent to saltines))--"these seem to be the only things I can keep down"--she pauses for a moment, then turns to Ophelia, and hugs her again--"Thank you for coming ,Hawk..you have no idea what this means to me"

"Oh please, Kia, Mamma is going to have a fit, and she would have slaughtered me if I hadn't found out." Ophelia said with a note of cheerfulness in her voice, as she shoved her jealousy back down to the bottom depths of her stomach. She wondered when Rock was going to show up, taking a seat inside of the sitting room, accepting the tea.

She watched her sister run to the bathroom with a curse that made her snicker a little, relaxing back in the chair and taking the luxury of not being in danger, or having someone shooting at her, or zombies trying to eat her brain.

"Have you been to see a doctor yet? I don't think that's normal."

Not that Ophelia knew, or ever would know what was normal for a pregnancy or not. Again, bitter bile rose in his throat, but she squashed it down again, and wondered why it wouldn't die. She really couldn't help it, Ophelia was a very jealous person by nature. Yet, she really was happy for her. Kia might have the kid, but at least Ophelia wasn't left alone.

"and you think Mamma isnt going to slaughter me for not telling her sooner?"--giggles slightly, as she sits down and takes up her own cup of tea. She chuckles at her sister's apparent lack of knowledge about pregnancy. "I have already seen a Doctor, the pregnancy is pregressing normaly..and Sis...being sick for the forst couple of months is naturral..remeber when Mamma was pregnant with the twins?..she was sick almost every morning..then again..you were always the lazy one and slept in"-she giggles at her sister, leaning away slightly incase Ophelia tries to hit her.

She saw the look in her sister's eye's, and emediatly know's what is wrong. She had never met Rock, but Kiala knew what his race was...Taung...Ophie had alway's wanted children...Kia knew this...and felt a sudden pang of guilt for having what her sister would probably never have.

Kiala lay's a hand over Ophelia's, and squeezes. Kiala gasp's, and drop's her tea cup, and it shatter's on the floor, and she colapses sideway's out of her chair.

She walks through a forest, and before her is the silloet of a person. She cant tell who it is, it is to dark. She walks forward, confident, and proud. When she can fianly tell who it is, she smile's. She looks upon a woman whom she had known for most of her life. In the womans arms is a child..standing behind the woman is a mountain of a man..larger than life... The child opens his eye's..purple..and now that she looks closer..the childs hair is purple.....

Kiala sits straight up, panting, gasping, and looks around..she is in her room on the Sparrow. She has no idea how she got there.
