was crazy. There were four schools and mine was decked down to two lanes. It was crazy. I didn't have true events I could gain points from, no. I played part in the exhibition, kind of the just for show stuff. The people who'd been doing it forever were the ones who tallied up our points.
As a team: Girls took first and the boys took second. We did amazingly good.
I feel bad for my friend Dillan. He was supposed to swim in a relay, right? Fifty meters, easy. And then they stuck him on the five hundred just before the relay. Dillan is a beginning swimmer. I felt so bad him it wasn't funny. I brought the guy Gatorade and water and to counsel him afterward (though he was mostly smiling. He just wanted to sit down afterward and I wouldn't let him. Called me miss bossy, but, hey, I doubted he wanted cramps). And then the person who was supposed to swim the four hundred relay (one hundred meters each) up and LEFT and DILLAN TOOK HIS SPOT! No wonder he was dazed after the competition, walked up to me and my mom and said, "This... is... my first... meet?"
Okay, and as for me... -cough- I swan two exhibitions: a fifty and a one hundred freestyle. My fifty I do not know my time except I came in second not far behind the one girl. It's because I inhaled that mouthful of water instead of air by accident. The one hundred; I was second by three seconds. My time was one minute and twenty three seconds. I've been out and resting for five days, I'm not in the greatest of mental moods, and I came out. My mom said I was neck and neck with the one girl until the last twenty-five stretch. She pulled ahead of me just a hair. The others? They were twenty-five to fifty meters back. I left them eating bubbles.
It's an early bedtime tonight.
